The hockey game tonight was AWESOME! Of course my home team won...yippee! But what makes it better is that someone in my section won the draw to get their seats upgraded to one of the club seats. You ask how this benefits me?!? Well...do I have a story to tell...
As the winners of the upgraded seats was approximately 4 rows up and 8 seats over from where I was, the big screen panned onto the winners. Of course then they zoom out and do a crowd shot...that's where I see my Superstar sister just slightly on the big screen...that's when I nudge her and she starts waving her new team blanket on the big screen.
Well, the camera zooms in and Superstar decides she's gonna chicken out and ducks behind the blanket, leaving, yes, Vanilla all by herself sitting there like a grinning idiot. Meanwhile Superstar can't stiffle her giggles.
So that was me, Vanilla's big 5 seconds of fame. To make matters worse, Superstar's friends were also at this game and they actually text messaged Superstar to tell her they recognized us at the game. Hmmm...wonder if TSN televised that moment?

According to Superstar, you were "grinning dorkily" at the camera =) Way to go Vanilla Con! At least you were brave enough to suck up your several seconds of fame & glory, unlike the timid Superstar who retreated behind her blankie!
I just hope you looked good on the big Jumbotron screen...if a *camera* adds 10 lbs, how much does one of those add?!?

I thought it was plenty brave of me to sit there while Superstar was ducking out of the limelight!!!
I don't think I waved...just sat there and grinned :) Blowing kissies is not my style!
